The Smallest Gallery in Chelsea

ideation: The reason why we chose this area is because it has a rich history in the contemporary art and the motion picture industries, and yet, many people outside of the art world are not aware of this. Instead, they think of Chelsea as being residential and marketplace area for retail and great eats, for example, the Chelsea Market. We are interested in exploring ways to bridge that gap. Chelsea has become to be known for its festive marketplace environment (for shopping and restaurants). It is also the global center for contemporary art (home of several galleries). An even less known, it was an early center for the motion picture industry (late 1800s).

interaction:Our alternative plan was to use ultrasonic sensor to measure the distance of the person interacting with the design and as an output change the colors of some LED lights (from blue to green to yellow and finally to red) to show how close enough to the eye holes to see inside. and also when people look inside they will see a pair of eyes, want them to wonder where are these eyes came from. might be someone in the other side of the world. We also decided to use reflective paper as an extra mode of interaction. To get people to interact with their eyes
